Therapeutic Yoga

Yoga Instructor Our yoga center has been around for many years and our teaching experience has grown. Over time the demand and the necessity grew to practice and teach more individually. We specialize in yoga for back care and scoliosis, neck and shoulder issues, and people come for other reasons as well. We are equipped to work individually and for this purpose we use props including wall ropes, chairs, bolsters and more. For therapeutic yoga we incorporate restorative yoga a lot because it is a very profound way to practice when the body and mind needs to rest and recover. The results are amazing and prove that yoga works. One of our teachers is trained in Somatic Experiencing which is a form of trauma healing therapy aimed at relieving the symptoms of mental and physical trauma-related health problems by focusing on the client’s perceived body sensations. We offer therapeutic group classes as well as private classes.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga at our center offers a deeply meditative experience, focusing on passive stretching to enhance flexibility and inner peace. This practice involves holding poses for longer periods, typically three to five minutes each, targeting the deep connective tissues, ligaments, and joints. Yin Yoga is a more introspective practice that gives you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. This cooling and calming practice is suitable for all levels and is particularly beneficial for those looking to relieve stress and revitalize their deepest tissues. The slow nature of Yin Yoga not only helps to restore range of motion but also fosters a meditative environment to rejuvenate the mind and body.

Foot Reflexology

Foot Reflexology at our studio is a therapeutic method that applies gentle pressure to specific reflex points on the feet. These points correspond to different body organs and systems, and stimulating them through targeted touch can enhance overall health and wellness. Reflexology aims to reduce stress, enhance relaxation, improve circulation, and detoxify the body. The practice is based on the understanding that such stimulation supports the body's natural healing processes and balances the nervous system. This practice is not only relaxing but also particularly effective for managing chronic pain, boosting digestion, and enhancing sleep quality. Whether you're seeking relief from tension headaches, simply a moment of peace, or to improve energy levels, foot reflexology offers profound benefits that extend well beyond the feet.

Hatha Yoga

At our center, Hatha Yoga forms the foundation of our practice, emphasizing a balanced approach to physical and mental well-being. This style uniquely combines postures (asanas) with natural breathing to align and calm your body, mind, and spirit. Hatha Yoga is suitable for everyone, regardless of experience or fitness level, offering a practice that can be adapted to suit individual needs. It provides a comprehensive introduction to yoga postures, focusing on proper alignment and mindful movement. Each class invites you on a personal journey of building strength and relaxation; self-discovery, enhancing both physical and emotional health. Our sessions provide individual attention and modify poses to accommodate all levels of experience and flexibility, creating a supportive and nurturing environment. Our experienced instructors are committed to helping each student progress at their own pace.

Class Descriptions

Beginner  Classes

Yoga has no age limit. If you are new to yoga you will be advised to attend the beginner classes. Here students learn the fundamentals of yoga poses in a very safe way and with detailed explanations. Emphasis is put on building strength and confidence, gaining flexibility and experiencing relaxation in the body and the mind. Step by step students are being prepared for more demanding and challenging yoga poses. So, when they are ready, they can move on to the next level.

Intermediate Classes

If you have an established yoga practice you can attend our intermediate classes. These classes are more demanding and will take your practice to the next level with step-by-step instructions to learn challenging poses and their variations. Whichever class you attend, be it beginners, intermediate, advanced or other classes, we always emphasize anatomical details and the alignment of each posture. Safety and professionality are our priorities. We want students to get the most benefit out of their yoga practice.

Advanced Classes

Those students who have had a longtime yoga practice may want to go a bit deeper. The advanced yoga classes are for this. The instructions are more refined and students experience yoga postures on a more profound level. At this point students have learned to understand where their limits lie and simply enjoy the journey.
