Meditation. This translates to mean “single-minded-attention” or contemplation. In daily life we focus constantly on different objects, problems, situations and mundane matters. In the system of yoga, when we choose spiritual meditation, we begin the true journey. The true journey is a first-hand experience of re-union with the ever-vibrating, infinite Higher Power within us. Not an “ism”, real spirituality starts where worldly philosophy ends! To know oneself! The objective is withdrawal from the out-going faculties by stilling the mind. Then comes concentration, then centeredness and a return to the source of all powers. A practical purpose, that of re-union, by a practical method. |
